Wow,DT, when it rains it pours. Happy Congratulations. That is really cool for all the U.K. gallery owners here at Zazzle. And you're eligible for contests too now. I'm jealous. Maybe a zazzle.com.ca is not too far behind (he said not so subtly, planting a bug in Zazzle's ear). Grin

Thank you for posting this. I have not been following this so had no idea it was in the works (I've left all my Zazzle stuff pretty much on autopilot for a few months). I was confused when I got a sale notification for two products, but when I went to my payments page they did not show up, even as canceled orders. It was only after some searching that I found the UK site, and discovered I could sign in. There were the sales, all by themselves, getting ready to ship to Austria.

It is nice that the volume bonus is combined with my US accounts (although the currency conversion seems to be off, unless one pound is all of a sudden equal to exactly one dollar - you never can tell these days). I am not sure if the payments will be combined too, or if I need to wait until I reach 25 pounds and then get a check. There is no PayPal payment option showing for me on the UK site.

(I also note that the sites are treated as one in terms of visits, tracking and such. My Analytics code is already entered for me on the UK site - the same as is tracking my US pages - and the number of visits is about the same.)

Well it seems we can pay by paypal .. but not get our earnings payed in to paypal .. also to get payed you have to make over £25 ..$35.10 ... which is way above the £15.99 .. $25 from the American site .. so I'm wondering .. will any purchase made in pounds be separate from the .com site .. or will they be included in the .com site unless we open a new store directly from the .co.uk site? .. because personally I'd like mine all in one in the US site as thats the one I signed up to .. so I get payed via paypal with the lesser amount needing cleared ..also the fact I don't have a bank account kinda puts the tin lid on it..I doubt very much my friend will want to put checks for me in to their account when its easier with paypal.. not to mention the waiting time for checks to be sent and cleared .. maybe an option similar to the volume bonus where we add our full earnings to a specified account .. either the UK or US one

Yippee both of my stores are on there too.

So I just need to add UKLAUNCHCONTEST to the obviously UK-ish products to be in the contest - that I'm actually allowed to win!
(I used to take part in all the comps but I could never be allowed to win the money.)

Nice to see your deck in the advert DT.

I think people are more likely to buy products when they can SEE how much they cost in £s without having to work it out.
I just hope delivery will be quicker too.

But i see it is treated as a separate account
It has it's own URL and also has reset my earnings to £0!
So my American $s remain in the zazzle.com site
and my £s earned will be in my zazzle.co.uk site
Don't really get why they are separate but there we go; can't have the cookie and the biscuit!
Also don't know what's happened to my avatars. they are showing in "my zazzle" but not on the forum! Odd.

If zazzle.co.uk isn't going to be the only new locally based site extension .. what will happen to earning then? .. we're going to end up with a lot of separate accounts with each type of currency in it .. Shocked

Quite. Sure, if I have to have a UK Zazzle balance, and can't claim that using Paypal, that's fine - I just get sent a UK Cheque that I can pay into my UK bank account with no fees. But if I have to have a Canadian / Australian account that only issues cheques in local currency,... Or, if I was American, and people started buying my stuff from Zazzle UK, I'd have to pay a Sterling cheque into my US Bank Account.

I, too, think that we should have one earnings account amalgamated across all sites.

There are two seperate promotions pages too. The UK promotion currently going on is not listed with the American promotions.

Hmm...need to check the product links for blogs as well, might have to put two links based on location. The mind boggles @_@

This is good news, thank you Zazzle. Just entered a few things into the launch competition. They've featured my Gallery to, just above Thewho which is quite ironic, actually I might be distantly related to Pete Townshend of the Who Smile

I don't know how the royalties are going to be paid. It doesn't make that much difference to me whether I'm paid in dollars or Sterling or even a mixture, since I have opted to receive payments through Paypal and it's easy enough to exchange currencies. But if there are separate balances does this mean each balance is subject to a separate minimum amount? Obviously that could cause delays.
